The collection is revealed, go forth and enjoy! Please remember to thank your creator, but also please remember that this is a very-early-on-a-weekday reveal for most people and the vast majority of comments will not be immediate.

The collection will be anonymous for another week, until 19 December at 11.59pm Pacific time. Do not de-anon yourself by linking to your work or identifying yourself in comments until that time.

If there is a problem with your gift (e.g. a DNW violation or a lack of any requested pairing) please get in touch with a mod via Discord or Dreamwidth DM or email. Comments to this post are not screened.

Works are due Monday December 5 at 11.59 PM Pacific time (see the countdown here). If you have neither submitted a work (drafts do not count) or reached out to the mods for an extension, you will be defaulted at that time.

We had no unmatchables, so assignments are out! If there is a problem (such as your recipient not requesting a ship you offered) please DM me, sassysnowperson, or equusgirl here on Dreamwidth or on Discord, making sure to include your AO3 name. Comments to this post are not screened.

You may request between 1 and 10 fandoms, between 1 and 20 ships in each of those fandoms, and between 1-3 additional tags specifying medium. You must request a minimum of three unique ships. A signup that only requests three different ships under Star Wars Legends: The Old Republic is fine. A signup that only requests Wedge Antilles/Luke Skywalker under Original Trilogy, Canon EU, and Legends EU is not, and mods will be in touch to ask you to add requests.

You may offer between 1 and 10 fandoms, between 1 and 20 ships in each of those fandoms, and between 1-3 additional tags specifying medium. You must offer a minimum of four unique ships. A signup that only offers four different ships under Star Wars Legends: The Old Republic is fine. A signup that only offers Wedge Antilles/Luke Skywalker under Original Trilogy, Canon EU, Canon/Legends Crossovers, and Legends EU is not, and mods will be in touch to ask you to add offers.

You must put something in your requests' optional details. Likes, prompts, DNWs - up to you, but you must give your creator something to work with.

If you are requesting/offering a character/any ship, the ship you choose to fulfill it has to be rare. You can't use Leia/Any Non-Imperial Male to write Leia/Han, and you will not be sent to pinch hit because you forgot until you opened your gift that included Leia/Baze.

Nominations close 25 September, 11.59PM Pacific time, a little under 24 hours from this post's timestamp.

A few reminders as we head into the last day:

1) Please make sure your nominations in the crossover fandoms Canon Crossovers and Canon/Legends Crossovers indicate the source media for each character. Nominations without those disambiguations will either be rejected or modified to include mods' best guess as to which you mean. If you don't care about the version, please re-nominate your ships under the Any Star Wars Crossovers fandom.

2) Mods have moved some ships that were nominated under incorrect fandoms, which may mean they show up as rejected on your nominations page. If you have questions about where your ship tag ended up, please get in touch with us either via comments here or on the Discord.

Nominations are open! Every person may nominate up to 20 ships in up to 10 fandoms. Ships must have fewer than 250 works that are over 1000 words in English on AO3.

Vader|Anakin and Kylo|Ben will be collapsed for purposes of determining eligibility. This means mods will be judging whether a Kylo|Ben ship or a Vader|Anakin ship is eligible based on the total number of fics tagged with any version of their name, using the umbrella Kylo Ren | Ben Solo tag or by handcounting the the number of Vader, Anakin, and Vader|Anakin fics and removing duplicates. This only effects eligibility - you are still welcome to include only one name in your nomination if you feel that best reflects the gift you would like to create or recieve.

Please use the fandoms exactly as they appear below - copy & paste is your friend! Mods will reject any other fandoms.

It's very helpful to us if you disambiguate your nominations - that is, put the name or abbreviation of the fandom the ship belongs to in parentheses after the character name, even if you think it's obvious. For instance, nominating Amilyn Holdo/Leia Organa (SWST) under Star Wars Sequel Trilogy. This is necessary if you wish to nominate the same ship in multiple fandoms - Mon Mothma/Leia Organa (OT) under Original Trilogy and Mon Mothma/Leia Organa (Legends) under Star Wars: Legends EU, and deeply appreciated in all other cases.

• New in 2022: Nominations for clone troopers should not include their numerical designation. If two clones have the same name, disambiguate them, e.g. with 'Fox (501st)'.
• New in 2022: Ships between a Star Wars character and the reader, between a Star Wars character and an original character, or between two or more original characters, should be nominated under the fandom that corresponds to the time period you want to see them in, e.g. Leia Organa (Canon EU)/Original Female Senator would be nominated under 'Canon EU'.

Nomination Organisation

The following fandoms will already be in the tag set. Please use them exactly as they appear here - copy & paste is your friend! Mods will reject any other fandoms.

• Andor (TV): Is for ships between characters in the Andor tv show.

• Any Star Wars Crossovers: Is for ships between characters who exist in different canon or legends properties, where the version of the character is not important to you. Disambiguate these ships by putting (Any) in parenthesis after the character or ship. For example, Leia Organa/Mon Mothma (Any) or Female Revan/Leia Organa (Any) or Wedge Antilles (Any)/Luke Skywalker (Legends).

• Canon Crossovers: Is for ships between characters who exist in different canon properties, where the version of the character is important to you. For example, Shmi Skywalker (OT)/Rey (ST).

• Canon EU: Is for ships between characters who exist in the current extended universe. For example, Carise Sindian/Varish Vicly (Canon EU).

• Canon/Legends Crossovers: Is for ships between one or more canon characters and one or more Legends characters, where the version of the character is important to you. You must specify which version of each character you want. For example, Rey (ST)/Jaina Solo (Legends) or Luke Skywalker (OT)/Wedge Antilles (Legends).

• Crossovers (Non-Star Wars): Is for ships between at least one Star Wars character and one or more non-Star Wars characters. For example, Amilyn Holdo (ST)/Klara (Jordskott).

• The Mandalorian (TV): Is for ships between characters in The Mandalorian.

• Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016): Is for ships between characters in Rogue One.

• Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018): Is for ships between characters in Solo

• Star Wars Legends: Knights of the Old Republic (Video Games): Is for ships between characters in KOTOR I & II

• Star Wars Legends: The Old Republic (Video Game): Is for ships between characters in SWTOR.

• Star Wars Original Trilogy: Is for ships between characters in the Original Trilogy.

• Star Wars Prequel Trilogy: Is for ships between characters in the Prequel Trilogy

For characters who exist in both Canon and Legends, please specify which version of the character you want in parentheses while nominating. For instance, Snoke/Wedge Antilles (Legends) belongs in the Canon/Legends Crossover fandom. Snoke/Wedge Antilles (Canon) belongs in the Sequel Trilogy fandom.

Hello everyone! As we get ready for the exchange's 2022 round, mods have a few questions about tagset organisation we would like some community feedback on. Note that we are not going back to using 'All Media Types', these are just questions about the fandoms we will pre-load in.

1) Character/Reader Fic: Last year, canon character/reader ships were included in the fandom the character belonged to, e.g. 'Finn (SWST)/Reader' would be under the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy fandom. Are people who are planning to nominate/offer request readerfic happy with this, or would you prefer a separate fandom for character/reader fics?

2) The Disney+ Shows: There seem to be varying levels of overlap here, e.g. The Mandalorian and Book of Boba Fett have a decent amount of crossover, while Kenobi is more separate. Is there enough overlap that combining them into something like a Star Wars (Live Action TV) fandom makes sense? Should only some of them be combined? Should they all be separate? Please chime in if you're planning to nominate/offer/request, not all your mods even have Disney+.

3) Anakin Skywalker | Darth Vader: Anakin and Vader have historically been considered separate characters for ships & when determining ship eligibility requirements due to AO3 choices. This is distinct from our handling of Kylo Ren | Ben Solo, who is harder to break into separate characters, again due to AO3 choices. This year, we're considering combining Anakin | Vader when considering eligibility requirements - e.g. combining all Anakin/x, Vader/x, and Anakin|Vader/x fics - in order to bring the requirements into alignment. If a ship still qualifies, you would still be able to nominate Anakin/x and Vader/x separately in order to indicate the version of the ship that you like, just as you were able to nominate Ben/x and Kylo/x separately last year. How do you all feel about this?

4) Anything else? If you have any other questions or concerns about where certain things go, missing fandoms, fandoms that should be combined, etc, please leave them on this post. Last year's fandoms & descriptions are here.
