Reminders, Updates, and an Invitation

- First, the no-fault default deadline is November 5th at 11:59PM PST. That’s just about two days from now. After that, you will still be able to default, but if you’d like to participate in future rounds of this exchange, you’ll have to complete a treat for your recip before the next round starts in order to do so. If you need to default, go to your assignments page and there will be a default button there for you.

- The deadline for posting is November 12th at 11:59PM PST. If you want to know when that is in your time zone, go here. And if for some reason you want a countdown clock, well, you’re in luck. Just click this link right here.

- We’ve completed 33 community challenges now and I’m officially blown away by all of you for doing that. You can see your progress as well as keep track of who has treats here in case you’d like to treat participants. Note: you don’t have to be signed up for the exchange to treat. Anybody is welcome to treat.

- And one last thing: we’re almost to the end of the official exchange, but I’m not ready to stop writing treats for as many of you as possible and maybe some of you aren’t done either. I know it’s getting to be holiday time for a lot of people and there are other holiday exchanges going on on top of those holiday obligations, but I thought it might be nice to do an informal treat run. I haven’t hashed out all of the details yet, so if you have any suggestions, thoughts, or concerns, please let me know, but I was thinking it could go something like this: 

1. there would be no minimum requirements for treats, as usual, though smaller treats would be encouraged since this is a more informal thing

2. the goal would be to get as many treats created for as many different participants as possible, especially those who don’t already have treats

3. a new unrevealed collection would be created after works are revealed on November 19th. Treats written before the collection is revealed can absolutely go into the official exchange collection. Treats written after this date can go into the Treat Run collection if you’d like to participate in the treat run. If you’d rather just create a treat and have it be available to the recipient immediately, you’d be welcome to post it to the official collection if you’d like.

4. the Treat Run collection would be revealed on December 17th with no anon period since the following Saturday is Christmas Eve and I can’t guarantee I’ll be around at a specific time to ensure the collection goes unanonymous.

5. assuming this isn’t a terrible idea that you all hate, I’ll have firm times for you before the end of the exchange proper.
