Last year, we had a whole slew of community challenges and I would like to do them again, but I'm all tapped out on good ideas, so here's where you come in:

If you have any ideas for challenges you'd like to see happen this year, comment on this post and it may get added to the list.

I suggest keeping the ones we had? No need to stress over it.

I second senmut's suggestion. Go with what's easiest. :-) If there were any challenges that weren't met last year, perhaps you could highlight those in some way as added motivation.

Hmm, I guess since Rogue One is new since last time (although there were a few Rogue One ships in the tag set!) the one thing I could think of would be to add a quote either for focusing on new characters or that era in general. "Rebellions are built on hope?" Or something else...? But definitely no need to add more, what we had was great!

The previous ones are definitely fine with adding new canon as primeideal suggests!

Last year's challenges look fun! If you're looking for something specifically Rogue One, the biggest trope there is "everybody lives/nobody dies", so adding that as "a participant tags fic as..." challenge?

Would work great, to combine ideas from above.

"Make ten men feel like a hundred." - A work meets or exceeds 10k words.

"We don't all have the luxury of deciding when and where we want to care about something." - 5 hero/villain works

Congratulations. You are being rescued. Please do not resist. - One work involving at least one droid in the pairing

"I am... taking them... to imprison them... in prison" - One work using fake-dating as a trope

"I feel terrible" - one work tagged with sick character or sickfic

"Haven't you ever seen a rare, hairless Wookiee before?" - 5 works with non-human pairings

What about some minifests inside the fest like Yuletide does? Participants could add relevant info to their letters if they are interested, and creators could tag finished works that apply with, for example, Kink Wars.
